Saudi Arabia March 2026
Explore the Wonders of Tabuk, Al Disah, and AlUla. Journey through dramatic desert landscapes, towering rock formations, and natural arches carved by time. Capture the beauty of Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, where ancient tombs stand silent beneath the stars. From vast canyons to pristine dark skies, this is a photographic adventure through the heart of Arabia’s timeless desert.

Below is just a suggested itinerary, but you can customize your own trip with other suggested locations upon request on dates that suit you.
Day 1 - Al Ula 11th Old Town
After meeting at Zayed International Airport at 11:00, we will make our way to our accommodation. After checking into our hotel, we will head out to the Abu Dhabi Mosque for a day visit and a sunset photography session. Later that evening, we will have a welcome dinner and a meet-and-greet.
Day 2 - Rainbow Arch
After spending half a day transferring to our next accommodation in the heart of the desert, we will begin with an introduction to night photography through my master class presentation. Once everyone is prepped, we will scout the surrounding dunes and start planning our images for the evening and the days ahead.
Day 3 - Elephant Rock
After a sunrise session on the dunes, we will then spend the day relaxing by the pool before heading out for another sunset and night photography session.
Day 4 - Gharameel
We will remain in the Liwa Region, and shoot another sunset and night session on the dunes.
Day 5 - Hegra
This evening we will be shooting the sunset on the dunes with camels, we will also have the chance to capture them in blue hour too. After that we continue with our night photography shooting.
Day 6 - Mount Mhaja
This evening we will be visiting the Desert Road that runs through the desert dunes. We will be shooting sunset and night photography at this location before heading back to our hotel for some rest.
Day 7 - Raven Arch
Around 4:00 AM, the Moon will rise. Due to its angle of elevation and the fact that it is a crescent moon, it will resemble a pair of horns rising, creating a stunning visual effect. Shortly after, we will photograph the sunrise and then head back to our accommodation for some rest. Later this evening, we will have a post-processing session over dinner, including a review of the trip.
Day 8 - Wadi DIssah
Day 9 - Al Dissah Caves
Day 9 - Al Dissah Mud Cracks
Day 10 - Al Dissah Spire
Day 11 - Departure
We will head back to Zayed International Airport. We will be in a close vicinity from the airport so flights any time of the day are suitable.
Benjamin Barakat
I am your host and guide on this tour.
After receiving a full introduction on the first day to Astrophotography, I will then prepare you with the knowledge and tools to go out and capture stunning nightscape and landscape photos just like mine.
In the following days, you will shadow me and try to take the exact same compositions as me in order to learn the workflow and the correct way to capture your images.
Alternatively, you are free to roam the beautiful landscapes around us and capture your own images where I would then come follow up, give tips, and also my feedback.
We will also be doing landscape, sunset/sunrise photography and so on.
