Below is just a suggested itinerary, but you can customize your own trip with other suggested locations upon request.

Day 1 - Utopia

Meet at 08:00 at Hosea Kutako International Airport to be transferred to Naankuse Utopia hotel.

You will then have free time until the evening welcome dinner, any excursions and lunch on this day is at your own expense.

At 20:00 we will host a welcoming dinner and theory class on night photography.

Day 2 - Kanaan Retreat

After breakfast we will set out on a 6-7 hour drive we will arrive & check in to Kanaan Retreat.

After settling in and having dinner, we will head out in the desert for our first night photography session.

Day 3 - Ancient Trees

The next day we will wake up early and head out for sunrise to see the Namibian landscapes, and if we are lucky, we will be greeted by a herd of Oryx.

Just before sunset we will head out for another night photography session at the stunning dead trees on this private farmland (there are around 10 dead trees all separated from one another that align perfectly with the Milky Way, some towering as tall as 5 meters).

Day 4 - Kolmanskop

After breakfast we will head to Luderitz where we will spend the next night.

In the afternoon we will head out for sunset and an astrophotography session at a new location that won't disappoint. The next morning we will have a very early access to Kolmanskop (Ghost Town).

Day 5 - Quiver Trees

After shooting at Ghost Town we will then head back to Kanaan Retreat for lunch and to check in once again for one last night.

In the afternoon we will head out for sunset and an astrophotography session at a location with Quiver trees and cactus plants.

Day 6 - Deadvlei

After a 4-hour drive we will arrive at Sossus Dune Lodge, our accommodation for the next two nights.

Just before sunset we will do a short excursion to Deadvlei for a sunset photography session.

After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces outside your rooms.

Day 7 - Deadvlei

An hour before sunrise we will make our way to Deadvlei for a sunrise photography session.

If we are fast enough, we may get some blue hour shots of the dead trees.

A little after sunrise we will slowly head back to our hotel to rest and enjoy lunch.

An hour before sunset we will go on a private drive into Deadvlei where we will be allowed to stay a little later than normal and capture a few more shots in the late blue hour and have another one of our night photography workshop sessions.

After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces in your rooms.

Day 8 - Moringa Trees

After a 1-hour journey we will arrive at our next destination Namib Naukluft Lodge.

After checking in to our accommodation, we will have lunch and prepare before heading out.

Just before sunset we will head out to capture these fantastic trees at sunset and night.

Day 9 & 10 - Spitzkoppe

After a 4-hour drive we will arrive at Spitzkoppe.

We will then head out for sunset to see the Himba Tribe.

After, we will return to Spitzkoppe for night photography.

The next day we will spend the day reviewing images from the trip at the hotel.

At sunset we will head out again for sunset & night photography.

Day 11 - Farewell

After Breakfast you will then be transferred back to Hosea Kutako International Airport at 15:00.

For those wishing to stay longer and see more wildlife we will be extending by two days to visit the Naan Kuse Wild Life Lodge.

I am your host and guide on this tour.

After receiving a full introduction on the first day to Astrophotography, I will then prepare you with the knowledge and tools to go out and capture stunning nightscape and landscape photos just like mine.

In the following days, you will shadow me and try to take the exact same compositions as me in order to learn the workflow and the correct way to capture your images.

Alternatively, you are free to roam the beautiful landscapes around us and capture your own images where I would then come follow up, give tips, and also my feedback.

We will also be doing landscape, sunset/sunrise photography and so on.

• Wide angle lens with fast aperture (f/1.4 - f/2.8) preferably

• Long focal lengths or zoom lens for wildlife & safari

• Warm jacket as temperatures can drop low in the desert at night

To secure your spot, a non-refundable deposit of 1,500 CHF per person is required.
The remaining balance is due 90 days before the tour.

Please note:

• The initial 1,500 CHF deposit is non-refundable.

• Cancellation 90+ days before the tour: no additional fees.

• Cancellation less than 90 days before departure: the full amount is non-refundable.

However — to make the process easy and fair:
If you find another person to take your spot and pay the full amount, we will transfer your booking to them at no extra cost. This makes cancellations flexible and helps keep the group numbers stable.
