Utopia
DAY 1
- Meet at 08:00 am at Hosea Kutako International Airport to be transferred to Naankuse Utopia hotel.
- You will then have free time until the evening welcome dinner, any excursions and lunch on this day is at your own expense.
- At 20:00 pm we will host a welcoming dinner and theory class on night photography.
Na'an kusê Kanaan Retreat
DAY 2
- After breakfast we will set out on a 6-7 hour drive where we will arrive & check in to Kanaan Retreat.
- After settling in and having dinner you are we will head out in the desert for our first night photography session.
DAY 3
- We will wake up early and head out for sunrise to see the Namibian landscapes, and if we are lucky, we will be greeted by a herd of Oryx.
-Daytime processing session and tips on how to get the most out of your images.
- Just before sunset we will head out for another night photography session at the stunning dead trees on this private farmland (there are around 10 dead trees all separated from one another that align perfectly with the Milky Way, some towering as tall as 5 meters).
Quiver Trees
DAY 4
- After breakfast we will be free to rest, or meet up for a post processing session.
- In the afternoon we will head out for sunset and an astrophotography session at a location with Quiver trees and cactus plants.
DEADVLEI
DAY 5
- After a 4-hour drive we will arrive at the next stop of our photography tour - Sesriem, and check into Sossus Dune Lodge which is located past both the security gates and inside the national park, this guarantees us exclusive early bird and late exit to all the highlights such as Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Big Mama Dune & many more.
- Just before sunset we will do a short excursion to Deadvlei for a sunset photography session.
- After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces in your rooms.
DAY 6
- An hour before sunrise we will make our way to Deadvlei & Sossusvlei for a sunrise photography session and if we are fast enough possibly some blue hour shots of the dead trees.
- A little after sunrise we will slowly head back to our hotel to rest and enjoy lunch.
- An hour before sunset we will go on a private drive into Deadvlei where we will be allowed to stay a little later than normal and capture a few more shots in the late blue hour and have another one of our night photography workshop sessions.
-After returning to the hotel and having dinner you are free to rest or continue imaging from the terraces in your rooms.
SECRET LOCATION
DAY 7
-After a 2 hour journey we will arrive at our next destination and this one is a secret.
- After checking in to our accommodation, we will have lunch and prepare before heading out.
- Just before sunset we will head out for a game drive as where we will be is not permitted for the public to drive. We will be shooting a location at sunset and night that’s never been done before.
DAY 8
- After breakfast, everyone is free to rest before lunch and the afternoon when the next session begins at the secret location.
- Just before sunset we will head out again for another sunset and night photography session.
Spitzkoppe
DAY 9
- After a 4-hour drive we will arrive at Spitzkoppe.
- We will then head out for sunset to see the Himba Tribe..
- After we will return to Spitzkoppe for night photography. .
DAY 10
- We will spend the day reviewing images from the trip at the hotel.
- At sunset we will head out again for photography at Spitzkoppe.
Farewell
Day 11
- After Breakfast you will then be transferred back to Hosea Kutako International Airport at 15:00 pm.
- For those wishing to stay longer and see more wildlife we will be extending by two days to visit the Naan Kuse Wild Life Lodge. For more info please ask upon requesting to register for this tour.

I am your host and guide on this tour.
After receiving a full introduction on the first day to Astrophotography I will then prepare you with the knowledge and tools to go out and capture stunning nightscapes and landscape photos just like mine. In the following days, you will shadow me and try to take the exact same compositions as me in order to learn the workflow and the correct way to capture your images. Alternatively, you are free to roam the beautiful landscapes around us and capture your own images where I would then come follow up, give tips, and also my feedback. We will also be doing landscape, sunset/sunrise photography, and so on.

- The price is 5900 CHF Swiss Francs per person (Twin Sharing) 9 Nights.
- This tour is for all levels of fitness & photography skills.
- The tour is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
- A non-refundable deposit of 1500 CHF is required to secure your place, this time of year in Namibia is high season and we have to pay costs upfront which are nonrefundable.
-The outstanding amount is due 90 days before the tour start date.
- Deposits need to be made via Bank Transfer. All details will be sent to you once you have filled out the contact formula at the bottom of the page.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
If a participant decides to cancel their reservation of this photography tour, they can do so at any time by communicating it as soon as possible to the official email address of the organiser at barakatphotography@outlook.com
- However, you should keep in mind that the cancellation by a participant would create management difficulties in bookings as well as the risk of not reaching the minimum number of participants for the trip (and consequently the need to search for a new person).
For this reason:
- The initial deposit of 1500CHF Swiss Francs is non-refundable and non-negotiable.
- If the cancellation request is submitted 90 days prior to the tour no additional cost will be charged.
- If the cancellation request is presented LESS than 90 days before departure, it will NOT be possible to receive a refund of the full booking amount.
- Unless the customer that desires to cancel his booking brings in another person who is willing to take their place by paying the total amount of the trip itself.
