N'Djamena

DAY 1

Our designated meeting point is N'Djamena International Airport.

Following our arrival, we'll make our way to the capital to unwind at our accommodation.

Soon after, we'll have our warm welcome dinner and an introduction to the exciting journey ahead.

The Journey To Ennedi

DAY 2-5

Our Journey to Ennedi won’t be easy, it will take around 3 and a half day to reach the desert.

Not to worry we will make rest stops along the way and have various sights to view along the way.

Every evening we will set up camp along the way to get some rest before reaching Ennedi.

Ennedi Massif

DAY 5

We will arrive to the Ennedi Plateau.

A fantasy landscape like no other. The erosion of wind and water has created endless rock formations and breathtaking canyons. Although many tell us that similar landscapes can be found in Algeria, Jordan, the USA or Namibia, all passengers agree that none of these destinations can compare to the Ennedi, neither in size, nor in variety, nor in its fascinating culture.

Here we will spend the night camping and shooting the landscape under the glorious night sky of Chad.

Aloba Arch

DAY 6

With a height of 120 metres and a width of 77 metres, the Aloba Arch is the largest arch in Africa and the second largest on the planet. A true wonder of nature that is hardly known or visited.

We will spend the night here camping and capturing this towering arch.

Djoulia Arch

DAY 7

Another masterpiece made by nature. Eroded sandstone arch, called Djoulia arch, in the Sahara Desert, Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chad.

We will also spend the night here camping and capturing yet another stunning rock arch under the night sky.

Elephant Arch

DAY 8

In addition to the Aloba and Djoulia arches, there are many other incredible examples such as the Elephant Arch, the Djoli Arch, the Petit Aloba Arch or the Arch of the Tooth.

We will also be spending the night camping here and capturing the Elephant arch under the night sky.

Sky Light Arch

DAY 9

Sky Light Arch is yet another stunning and impressive addition to what Ennedi has to offer. The possibilities under such a rock formation are endless.

Let’s camp the night here and capture the night sky from beneath it.

Peaks of Ouimina

DAY 10

The towering peaks of Ouimina will stand to impress you in all their glory. Again yet another stunning location and opportunities of what can be captured.

Let's camp the night here and capture something glorious.

Farewell

DAY 13-16

Today, we bid our farewells to the Ennedi as we transfer back to N'Djamena.

We will spend our last night back in a hotel reviewing images and having a farewell dinner.

Day 17

We will spend our last night back in a hotel reviewing images and having a farewell dinner.

DAY 18

Transfer back to N'Djamena International Airport.

I am your host and guide on this tour..

After receiving a full introduction on the first day to Astrophotography I will then prepare you with the knowledge and tools to go out and capture stunning night scapes and landscape photos just like ours. In the following days, you will shadow us and try to take the exact same compositions as us in order to learn the workflow and the correct way to capture your images. Alternatively, you are free to roam the beautiful landscapes around us and capture your own images where we would then come follow up, give tips, and also our feedback.
